Maybe you already saw my article about my passion for MotoGP. I was trying to tell you how incredible that sport can be, how passionately...
Well, I feel the same way about this sport, but even more, because I'm practicing it. Cyclocross. A typical Belgian sport, in winter.
This sport is all about perseverance.
The feeling when the lights turn red, the moment the crowd is quiet for a few seconds... it's like you look at yourself in a different way. You don't think about the others, it's just you now.
Mud, power in the legs, the right track, the bike you love and trust in yourself are the only things you need!
You don't feel the cold anymore, you can't show mercy but that doesn't mean there is no respect!

You're more alert. The mud splashes in the air! In your eyes, your mouth, your outfit and also in your confidence. Only the fittest can keep this up, one hour!
The fear of slipping, not to get to the top of the slope.. you need to convert your fear into frustration.
Make anger the boss of your body and your limits.
Ensure that you are unpredictable, is one of your greatest weapons to win a race like this.
I've never participated in a race, but my time is coming closer.
Think as a winner, because if you don't, you can't be a one.
In life it's all about pushing the boundaries.
You do that at the start, during the race and when you reach the finish line.
That's why I love this sport.
